Sustainability School


After a popular Earth Explorers Holiday Club in 2019, we are back for an extended summer holiday edition. Held at Moo Haven Horse Rescue, The Urban Worm CIC, Honeybee Farmacy CIC and friends will be hosting eco friendly fun and education over 2 weeks in August.

Based in the education garden, classroom, worm workshop, horse rescue and surrounding nature areas, the curriculum includes:

Gardening and growing our own food
The world of worms and soil
All things bee, life in the hive and pollination
Pony grooming and riding
Permaculture for children
Seeds and seed saving
Recycling and making recycled art
Food security and food waste
Water saving and filtration
Making insect hotels and seed balls
Nature walks, bug hunts and identification
Taking part in a citizen science bee count
Wood working crafts and den building
Nature art and storytelling
and all things sustainability!

*Please note that each day of the week will have a different theme and activities, schedule TBC*

Suitable for ages 5-12. Limited availability!

Running Monday - Friday, drop off 8.30am and pick up 4.30pm at Moo Haven Horse Rescue, Adbolton Lane, West Bridgford

Week 1: 03/08 to 07/08 inclusive
Week 2: 10/08 to 14/08 inclusive

£40 per day or £160 per week

Bring a packed lunch, water bottle, sun hat, wellies, waterproofs and sun cream. We will provide refreshments and workshop materials. Full details and a reminder will be emailed to you upon booking.
