Two days of talks, workshops and demos about all things off-grid! We’ll be there selling beeswax candles, balms, all things pollinator conservation and the seed sovereignty seed library. After a popular Earth Explorers Holiday Club in 2019, we are back for an extended summer holiday edition. Held at Moo Haven Horse Rescue, The Urban Worm CIC, Honeybee Farmacy CIC and friends will be hosting eco friendly fun and education for ages 5-12 over 2 weeks in August.
Our first Seed Guardian event will begin at the foundations of seed saving, starting our journey with the importance of soil. We will learn about the world of soil, microbes, and urban worms with Anna de la Vega of the The Urban Worm CIC, learn about different growing mediums suitable for our seeds and plants, why seed saving and food sovereignty is important, and sow 'real seeds' together to take home and begin our seed saving journeys.
Find us at the popular Nottingham Organic Gardeners’ Potato Day with our Nottingham Seed Sovereignty project. Our stall will provide resources and sign ups for the 2020 Seed Guardian programme. Xanthea will be giving a talk on all things seed sovereignty at 1pm.
